On Saturday, March 16, a large number of the Cinema Group met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched the movie The French Girl. It was a Canadian production set in Quebec City. While the movie didn’t have English subtitles, we enjoyed it all the same.

After the movie, we went to Denny’s for great food and a lively chat.

The next movie date will be Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby.

February

On Saturday, February 17, a group of members of the Cinema Group met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched the movie Bob Marley, One Love. We enjoyed the movie.

After the movie, we went to Mr. Greek for great food and a lively chat.

On Saturday, January 20, a group of members of the Cinema Group met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched The Hunger Games.

After the movie, we went to Milestones for great food and a lively chat.

November

On Saturday, November 18, a group of members of the Cinema Group met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched The Holdovers.

The movie had interesting character development and we all enjoyed it.

After the movie, we went to Denny’s for great food and a lively chat.

We will not be attending a movie in December.

October

On Saturday, October 21, members of the Cinema Group met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched Killers of the Flower Moon.

Although the movie was 3 hours long, we all enjoyed it.

After the movie, we went to Mr. Greek for great food and a lively chat.

On Saturday, September 16, a large group of us met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched, A Haunting in Venice

Although it was darker than we all thought it would be we all enjoyed it.

On Saturday, August 19, a group of us saw the movie, Oppenheimer, then we went to Denny’s for lunch and a lively chat.

July

On Saturday, July 15, a group of us met at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched, Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning.

It was an action-packed movie with interesting characters. We all enjoyed it.

After the movie, we went to Mr. Greek for great food and a lively chat.

On Saturday, June 17, Cinema Club members met at the Landmark Theatre in Whitby to see The Blackening a comedy thriller.  It was enjoyable but we would suggest waiting for it to come out on Netflix.

After the movie, we enjoyed a late lunch and chat at Denny’s.  All in all, it was a very enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

May

On Saturday, May 20, a group of us meet at Landmark Cinemas in Whitby and watched, The Book Club: The Next Chapter.

This movie was as good as the first Book Club, and the scenery was amazing. We all enjoyed it.
