February

A winter storm blew in on Thursday, February 15th but that didn't stop 3 intrepid travellers from enjoying dinner at A Tavola.

A Tavola celebrated its 10th anniversary on February 14th. All the food is prepared fresh on-site. Delicious. The service is "Wow".

Next month the group is meeting at Sauter's Inn, Pickering Village.

January

We had six members come out on a cold and clear night to check out the Italian cuisine at Scaddabush, Whitby. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. 

The main entrance is on the south side, next to Demetre's and the Landmark Theatre. 

Next month, we are going to A Tavola Bistro, 10 Meadowglen Drive, #2, Whitby.

2023

November

On Thursday, November 16th, 11 members of the Let's Eat group met at the Greek Tycoon in Whitby (a well-known, and much-frequented by some, restaurant on Brock Street South), to enjoy some delicious Greek food, lively conversation and much laughter. 

September

Sixteen hungry people met at Sauter's Inn in Ajax. It was organized by Ray Smith. It was a lively group and it was great to see so many attend.

August

Eleven members enjoyed dinner at The Black Dog Pub on Thursday, August 17th. The conversation was lively.

July

The Let’s Eat Group did not meet in July. Our next dinner will be on August 17^th  hosted by Sharon Marshall.

June

The Let's Eat Dinner Group met at Kelsey's Original Roadhouse, on Thursday, June 15th, 2023.

There were 11 members present and the conversation was lively!

We will not meet in July. Our next dinner will be on August 17th.

May

A small number of the  “Let’s Eat” dinner group met at The Lake Grill restaurant in Whitby on May 18. This is a family-run business that serves a delicious meal.

There was good conversation and we solved many problems facing the club at this time!!

Hopefully, those who were not able to attend will be able to join us for dinner in June.

April

For the month of April, the Let’s Eat group ventured to Italy (in our imaginations), via Brothers Ristorante, in Whitby. We enjoyed our delicious meals and the service was great; the Manager even stopped by to ensure we were all OK. We had some good laughs as we chatted about our adventures in Italy and other destinations.  Next month (May) we are dining at The Lake Grill. 

March

The Let’s Eat dining group met at Cloud Nine, in Ajax for our March outing. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Several members commented that they would like to go back again and try other menu options. 

With our new format, we were able to invite members from our waitlist and look forward to extending the invite in the future. We're looking forward to our next outing in April!

February

In February, eight Let’s Eat members attended the Pickle Barrel restaurant in Pickering. We had a great time catching up and we also introduced a new ‘waitlist’ member.

Most of us chose the deli sandwiches and we all had a lovely meal. The service was great and the waiter was able to accommodate a special request from one of our members. I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale décor of the restaurant as I was expecting more of a deli atmosphere. If you haven’t eaten there yet, we would recommend it.

Next month we will be going to the Brock House in Whitby.

2022

Four members of the Let's Eat dinner group met at Symposium Restaurant - 338 Rossland Road, East, Ajax on Thursday, October, 20 at 5:30 p.m. We had great food and conversation. We're considering making this a lunch group for the winter months since many of us are hesitant to drive in the evening.

I will be sending an email to the members for their thoughts/approval to change to a lunch group for the winter months.
