| “Ajax and surrounding areas have so many restaurants to enjoy with friends. Our group, “Let’s Eat”, meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy good food and lively conversation. Each of us takes a turn choosing the restaurant, contacting the group members, and making our reservations. This is a great opportunity to experience local restaurants and make new PROBUS friends. October Eleven members of the Let's Eat Dinner group met at Amici's in Pickering on October 17th, 2024. This Italian Restaurant has delicious food and an extensive wine list. The venue has high ceilings and lots of room. We had an enjoyable evening and many laughs! The next dinner is at PhoMono, 50 Kingston Road East, Ajax. |

September Twelve members of the Let's Eat group enjoyed dinner at the Brock House Restaurant, 918 Brock Street North, in Whitby. The food was delicious and the service was great. We are open to adding new members. |
August The Let's Eat dinner group had 11 members enjoy generous portions of food and good conversation at The Mansion Restaurant and Bar, Pickering. This is the site of the former Liverpool House. The next dinner is September 19th at the Brock House, 918 Brock St. North Whitby. |

June Twelve members of the Let's Eat group enjoyed eating and socializing at Odine's Japanese and Thai restaurant, on June 20th. We are taking a break for July and will meet again in August. Enjoy your summer! |

May The Let's Eat dinner group met at Mackenzie's Pub on Thursday, May 16th. The restaurant offers a Seniors discount of 20%, if you order from the regular menu and buy a drink. We had such a good time, that we forgot to take a photo! The next dinner, in June, will be at Odine's Restaurant. |
April The Let’s Eat group had their April outing at Cloud Nine. 15 members and 1 guest attended. We all enjoyed the food, it was tasty, nicely presented and was hot! Judging by the volume, many good conversations were had by all. Our next outing in May will be held at MacKenzie pub on Bayly. |

February A winter storm blew in on Thursday, February 15th but that didn't stop 3 intrepid travellers from enjoying dinner at A Tavola. A Tavola celebrated its 10th anniversary on February 14th. All the food is prepared fresh on-site. Delicious. The service is "Wow". Next month the group is meeting at Sauter's Inn, Pickering Village. |

January We had six members come out on a cold and clear night to check out the Italian cuisine at Scaddabush, Whitby. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. The main entrance is on the south side, next to Demetre's and the Landmark Theatre. Next month, we are going to A Tavola Bistro, 10 Meadowglen Drive, #2, Whitby. Thanks to Ruth for organizing this. |
