PROBUS Club of Durham WestSnapped Camera Club
The Snapped Camera Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month. We are an amateur group using all different types of cameras. No experience needed, just the pleasure of taking pictures. We enjoy planned outings giving us additional opportunities to take pictures, using themes as a focus, and enjoying the company of like minded members. The Annual Holiday Luncheon was held at the Ajax Convention Centre on Thursday, December 8th. One hundred and forty-five members and guests had a great time socializing, enjoying a 3-course meal and entertainment by Deidrey Francois. While enjoying their meal, a slideshow displayed many events in 2022. Many people went home with great door prizes. Thanks to Sharon and Renzo Castellarin, Randy Slemin, Lorna Smith, Bev Waite, and many others who assisted with this event |
February 2022 Challenge The February (2022) challenge was to take pictures of something red, high and low perspectives, something old, something that makes you smile, etc. |
Purple Woods Conservation Area October 2022
In October, the group went to Purple Woods Conservation Area. Lots of photos were taken of the colourful scenery. We took the Discovery Trail (accessibility trail) however, I would not want to push a wheelchair up those gradual hills - just a warning to those wanting to venture out. |
WindReach Farms September 2022 The Snapped Photography group visited WindReach Farms for their September outing. A tour was provided by a volunteer who is also a photographer. "WindReach Farm strives to enrich the lives of persons of all ages with disabilities and/or special needs by providing opportunities to enjoy experiences in farming, nature, outdoor recreation, and other activities, and to share those experiences with family and friends." |
