Sparkling Sangria Recipe, Courtesy of Patricia Bolger |
“The Big Boy” and I are travelling in the Western Provinces and visiting with family. This is a quick summer drink that is so quick to make for a family BBQ or a tea party on the patio. The hardest part is the shopping!” |
INGREDIENTS 3 cups chilled red or white wine 3 - 4 cups fruit. 1 bottle Italian Soda, Pomegranate for red sangria or Clementine for white sangria, fresh mint leaves. Add ice just before serving. |
INSTRUCTIONS For red sangria, use blackberries, plums, oranges, strawberries and mint. Add a dash of cinnamon. For white sangria, use peaches, honeydew melon, lemon and basil. Let the fruit steep in the wine for 1 to 4 hours before adding the soda, herbs and ice. |
